What Lights are Best for Dorset?

New street lighting is going up in Dorchester but have we missed an opportunity to be extra green?
Wessex FM's been looking at how Bath and North East Somerset Council are lighting the way.
Dorset County Council say the new lighting in Queens Avenue which is part of a county wide roll out will be more energy efficient.
But the street lights will still be switched off at night to save money, which has led to fears over an increase in crime, although the force has said there's no link between the lights going out and a rise in crime.
That's not the case with Bath and North East Somerset Council. Instead of turning the lights off they're the first in the county to use LED's which save energy and money.
Dorset County Council says they signed up to a deal with a private company in 2006 to use the best technology available at the time.
