12:03am 22nd September 2013
A team of 5 Dorset paramedics are due to arrive at Lands End today after cycling the length of Great Britain.
The team, named "Two men and a Little Lady" is comprised of 3 cyclists and 2 support drivers, and took on the challenge to raise money for The Fortuneswell Cancer Trust.
They set off from John O' Groats on September 10th and will have completed the 874 mile trek in an impressive 12 days.
The journey takes most cyclists ten to fourteen days, with the record being nine days.
The Fortuneswell Cancer Trust works closely with Dorset County Hospital to improve and develop cancer care and facilities.
Natasha Gibson, a paramedic accompanying the team commented: "Between us we have had family members that became poorly before the Fortuneswell Cancer Trust was in place and since then cancer has affected loved ones after the charity was founded and it is great to see patients and family members being able to be supported in their community".
