Youth Groups Look For New Members

Youngsters aged between 8 and 11 are wanted as Dorchester's Boys Brigade and Girls Association  form a new junior section.

A wide range of activities are offered by the organisation, including first aid, quizzes, dodge-ball and football which has had Christian values and ethics at its root since being formed in 1883.

The Organisation's Objects were laid down then and remain the same now, being 'The advancement of Christ's kingdom among young persons and the promotion of habits of obedience, reverence, discipline and all that serves towards behaving in a Christian-like manner towards others.'

The Dorchester group meet term time at the Sawmills Site in Weymouth Avenue every Thursday between 6 and 7.

Mums and Dads who would be interested in their children joining are asked to contact Company Captain Tony Day on 01305 266095 (work) or 01305 848403(home). alternatively pop along to the Sawmills Hall on a Thursday evening from 7.30 onwards, term time. They're also after adults who may be interested in helping to run their junior section.
