"He was a one off" and "Someone I could call my friend", tributes have been paid to Dorchester BID Chairman Peter Legg who’s died.
The Arthur Savage Director suffered a heart attack 2 weeks ago.
Peter was recently re-elected to the towns BID for a second time.
BID Colleague and Project Manager Phil Gordon told Wessex FM Peter will be sorely missed;
"Peter was an absolute one off, he was Dorchester through and through and had a huge passion for the town. He was very proud of what the BID had achieved and what we were trying to do.
Although I only knew him a short time I could see that he was one of those rare people who didn't have a hidden agenda. He was a straight forward, hardworking, honest guy."
Jon Fiori from the Horse with the Red Umbrella in Dorchester said, "He was just a really nice man who I could call a friend. A big gap has been left in his departure unfortunately."
