Four Bronze Statues Stolen From Back Garden

Deers, 7 November 2013

11:56am 11th November 2013

Four large bronze statues have been stolen from the garden of a house in Thornicombe.

Police say the two deer statues and two bronze fawns were taken overnight on Tuesday the 29th October.

Those responsible gained entry to the garden and made off with two deer statues five and four feet in height, along with two one-foot bronze fawns.

Andy Woodford, of the Dorset Police Crime Management Unit, said: "Following extensive enquiries, I am now able to release an image of the bronze statues.

"Their owner has been left extremely upset by this incident and they are very keen to have them returned.

"I am appealing to anyone who may have seen this theft take place, or saw any suspicious activity in the area around the time of the incident to contact Dorset Police in confidence.

"It is possible someone may have seen the offenders loading these items onto a vehicle and these details could help us identify those responsible."

No arrests have been made.

Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101 quoting crime number C:13:C:45526. Alternatively, call the free and anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111 where mobile phone tariffs may apply.
