Two Ladies Take To The Slopes For Charity
9:03am 18th November 2013
Two local women will be taking to the ski slopes in Dorset in memory of one of their Mum's who died of cancer.
Sarah Wardell and Hayley Davis are using the dry ski slope at Dorset Snowsports Centre at Warmwell Holiday Park for their Skiathon. The ladies are hoping to get enough people to join them to complete a course the equivalent height of Mount Everest.
The challenge will take place on the 1st of December and the money raised will go to Macmillan Cancer Trust. There will also be live music, food and games.
Sarah spoke to us about the event, "We just wanted to make it a challenge, also Everest is quite exciting and not something we've heard people do before. We're also asking people to wear onesies, to make it a little more fun, and also my friend's Mum was a fan of onesies!"
"It was a year ago since my friend's Mum passed away so we really wanted to do something in her memory, you can sign up on our website and we just want to get as many people as possible involved."
