A Welcome Windfall

Laura Jones 2

11:43am 19th November 2013

A Dorset woman recently had a surprise windfall of £100, thanks to a local housing association.

Mrs Laura Jones, who lives in Maiden Newton, entered a draw to win the vouchers which were offered by Magna Housing Association.

Mrs Jones said, “All I had to do was answer a few questions about what I thought of the annual report that Magna had sent me.  It was quite straight-forward really.”

When asked what she would spend the vouchers on, Mrs Jones said, “I don’t think I’ll see much of the money with Christmas coming up, but I don’t mind.  I have a daughter who lives in Scotland, so it will be really nice to be able to treat her this year.”

Catriona Fountain, head of communication for Magna Housing Group, said, “We strongly believe in involving our residents as much as we can in the service we provide.  The draw was open to all residents to enter and the feedback they gave us will help us to improve what we do.  We offer vouchers as a way of encouraging more people to tell us what they think.”
