Dorset Residents Asked to Help Shape NHS Services
7:49am 21st November 2013
Ways to improve and deliver non-emergency transport for patients in Dorset are being discussed tonight (Thursday 21st November).
The Weymouth and Portland Health Network is hosting their latest meeting at the Fire Station on Radipole Lane.
The network is comprised of local NHS patients and the forum is provided by the Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), the county's GP's who control the NHS Budget of £900 million.
They're in place to listen to local people and design services around their needs.
Weymouth and Portland Health Network Chairman Michel Hoope-Immins, a Public Governor of Dorset County Hospital said;
"We want to hear from patients in Weymouth and Portland, so they can influence the future and shape the health service in the borough. The Dorset CCG is committed to ensuring that effective and respectful listening mechanisms are put in place and that appropriate actions are taken."
If you fancy going along tonight call Sue Brazier at Dorset CCG on 01305 368908.
