Care Company Director Up For Top Award
10:17am 22nd November 2013
Bluebird Care Dorset Director Chris Scriven has made it through to the finals of the Great British Care Awards.
Chris was named the regional winner of the Care Innovator Award sponsored by the Department of Health.
Chris Scriven said: 'I was delighted to hear my name read out and to achieve this level of recognition for Bluebird Care.
We believe that through working in partnership with other agencies we can achieve better outcomes for our customers and benefit them further than we can by working alone. This approach adds another strong string to our bow when it comes to delivering the very highest quality care.'
Wayne Laurence of Bluebird Care was also recently named Manager of the Year at the Wessex FM Business Awards.
As a South West Regional Winner, Chris will now join the eight other regional winners in the finals of the Great British Care Awards, which will take place in Spring 2014 at a London venue. He commented, 'Being in the last nine for a national award is obviously exciting for me. Between then and now Bluebird Care Dorset will continue to work hard to identify new ways in which we can benefit our customers and vulnerable people within the community. Although it is wonderful to be recognised with award wins, our focus is always on the care that we deliver and how we can make it even better.'
Bluebird Care Dorset delivers care at home visits and live in care across the Dorset County Council area and has offices in both Weymouth and Ferndown. Since obtaining Care Quality Commission registration in November 2011, the service has rapidly expanded due to a growing reputation for quality provision.
