A Dorchester Christmas tree seller is celebrating 25 years in the business.

Pete Hyde started Trinity Street Christmas Tree's before the Dorchester bypass was built and before Poundbury, back in 1988.

He's gone from selling a few hundred trees a year - to having 500 on display at a time.

This year Pete's not only delivered trees to local businesses but has put of Dorchester tree at the Town pump and two, 27 foot tree in Brewery Square with a whopping 30,000 LED lights.

"Every year we strive to improve. We hand select every tree so we end up with the cream of the crop - premium grade trees grown by expert growers mainly in Scotland.

"By using these Scottish high quality trees we are able to guarantee the needle retention as they have received more frosts before cutting - which is a key factor in keeping needles on the trees.

"We will select your tree with you and trim it to fit your base while you wait. Our tree experts offer a great personal service with every customer and we strive to make the experience a really fun one for everyone."
