An exhibition looking at Council plans to transform the main road through Dorchester Town into a one-way system have gone on display.
Plans OUTLINED in the Dorchester Transport and Environment Plan aim to tackle congestion and reduce traffic and IF approved work could start next year.
Local residents have called for councillors to reject proposals and want to see High West and East Street stay the same.
Dorchester Councillor Richard Biggs says the plans are outdated.
"This has been dragging on for years and years, the town has changed and I think there needs to be serious pause and to think is this really what the town needs now?"
Plans for the change are on display at County Hall for 2 weeks.
