Local property developer DJ Property are saying Happy Christmas to their customers by making a festive donation.
They're giving much needed food parcels to the Weymouth Food Bank.
They're also tying it in with their 50 years in business and their donation includes 50 boxes of mince pies and 50 Christmas Puddings.
Mickey Jones of DJ Property said "2013 has been another challenging year for businesses, charities and community organisations and therefore I thought that it was important to look at things differently in our 50th anniversary year and give something back to the community rather than sending traditional Christmas Cards. I work hard to ensure that I visit many of our customers on a regular basis and therefore I can say "Merry Christmas" to most of them personally. It is important that community organisations and charities are supported by the local business community at all times but especially at this festive time of year".
Lily Mockett of the Weymouth Food Bank said " We are so grateful for all donations received into the Weymouth Foodbank which is located in Weymouth Baptist Church at 18 The Esplanade, Weymouth, where we open on a Tuesday and Friday between 10am and 12.30pm. People are very generous with their donations but we always welcome a donation of this size as it can make such a difference to the people who really need help at Christmas. We would like thank Mr Jones, his family and company very much for their generosity".
