Motorcyclist Injured by Car in Bridport

An appeal is out after a motorcyclist was injured in a fail to stop collision in Bridport.

Police say the incident happened on Saturday (14th December) at around 2:20pm in the afternoon on St Swithins Road.

A white Peugeot 306 hit the motorcyclist but didn't stop to exchange details and left the scene before Officers could arrive.

The injured man rider had to go to Hospital after sustaining an elbow injury during the incident.

Bridport Police are appealing for anyone who saw what happened to call the on 101.

Police Constable Neil Gauden, of Bridport police, said: "I am appealing for anyone with information about this incident to contact Dorset Police urgently.

"The driver was aware of the incident, but left the scene of the collision without exchanging details. I urge him to do the right thing and speak with the police.

"All calls will be treated in the strictest of confidence."
