CRIME REPORT: Attempted Break In And Bike Stolen In Dorchester


3:22pm 19th December 2013

Two men attempted to break into a shed in Windsor Road at about 3.05am on Wednesday 18th December but were disturbed and fled the scene empty handed. They ran off towards Marie Road where they jumped into a white coloured van that had ladders on the roof before driving away. Crime No. 52871 refers.

A youth wearing a hoodie was seen to steal a holly wreath from a front door of a house in Bridport Road at about 10.50pm on Saturday 14th December. The youth ran off towards Poundbury after stealing the wreath. Crime No. 52408 refers.

A silver and blue coloured GR Aggressor pedal cycle was stolen from the road outside Dorchester South Railway Station between 5.00pm on Wednesday 11th and 10.40pm on Thursday 12th December. The bike had not been secured at the time it was stolen. Crime No. 52163 refers. With Christmas upon us it may be worth thinking about giving a cycle lock as a present for anyone with a bike and no lock.
