A fossil of a marine monster that roamed the seas during the time of the Dinosaurs has been uncovered off the Dorset Coast.
The ichthyosaur skeleton was discovered by a fossil hunter at Black Ven near Charmouth.
Scientists say they appeared in the Triassic period, dying out around 25 million years before the extinction event that wiped out the dinosaurs.
The ichthyosaur looks similar to a dolphin and this latest find in Dorset will help experts learn about reptile evolution.
The fossil was removed on Boxing Day.
