Pub Fundraiser Helps Philippines Victims

A weekend of live music put on at a pub in Dorchester has raised vital funds to help victims of the disaster in the Philippines.

Nearly £300 collected at the Old Ship in Dorchester has been handed over to the Rotary Club.

It will be spent on providing water survival boxes.

The bands that took part, all providing entertainment at no cost were:

Jilly-Ann, The Tom Alford Band, Shy Connie, C Sharp Blues, Ruby and the Roughcuts, Jimmy Hillbillies, The Pickups and the Hate Bomb.
