11:02am 8th January 2014

If you follow Dorset Police's Neighbourhood teams on Twitter you may have had an unusual Direct Message from them yesterday.

Part of their account was comprised in a hack.

Dorset Police have given this statement to Wessex FM:

"We understand that some followers of DP Safer Neighbourhood Teams have been sent messages with links. If received, please delete. Do not click on these links, as they may be malware. If you have already done so, please change your Twitter password as a precaution. There is no need to be concerned, nor to report these messages to Dorset Police as we are already aware."
