Weymouth's game against Bashley last night had to be abandoned after a local power cut caused the floodlights to fail.

Weymouth's game against Bashley last night had to be abandoned - but this time it wasn't just because of the weather.

A local power cut caused the floodlights at Bashley to fail after 40 minutes.

The terras took the lead through a Scott Walker penalty after 20 minutes followed by a George Rigg header 6mins later, Immanuel Soetan reduced the arrears to make it 2-1 to Weymouth, before the ground was plunged into darkness.

Tonight, there's a West Dorset derby as Trevor Senior's Bridport go to releation threatened Sherborne Town in the Toolstation Western Premier.

Meanwhile Dorchester Town's Reserves game against AFC Porchester tonight has been called off.
