Flood Deluge Threatens to Wash Out Dorset Footy Matches

Crest

3:25pm 14th February 2014

Dorchester Town FC has told Wessex FM they'll be a pitch inspection tomorrow morning (Sat 15th Feb) to see if their match against Bromley will go ahead.

Heavy and persistent rain in the county town has flooded the pitch at the Avenue Stadium and with more rain forecast before kick-off the match is looking in doubt.

The pitch is too soaked to be forked at the moment.

A worker at the club told us "unless there's some sunshine and wind soon, it's not looking hopeful."
