Cash Up For Grabs For Community Groups

Dorchester charities and community groups can now get extra money for projects through the Dorchester Market Car Boot fund.
The fund offers grants ranging from £50 to £3000 to projects which aim to make a positive difference to the local community.
Projects must operate within, or support residents living in a 6.67 mile radius of Dorchester.
The money is generated by car boot sales held every Sunday by Dorchester Markets Joint Panel.
Funding has already supported several projects in the area.
Remix West were given £1200 to give performance tuition to people with and without disabilities to develop creativity, movement and interpersonal skills.
Dorchester athletics club also received £300 to develop training opportunities for volunteers.
Chair of The Dorchester Joint Panel, Mary Penfold said:
'We would like to encourage as many local community groups as possible to apply. We really value the work they do in Dorchester.'
The closing date for all applications is Wednesday, 30 April 2014.
