Dorset Nightstop Needs Your Help

Homeless

9:03am 24th February 2014

The Dorset Nightstop service is looking for volunteers to fundraise to help keep the project going.

The charity provides emergency accommodation for young people around Dorset who find themselves homeless.

It relies entirely on voluntary income, and they need people to help raise money so that they can reach out to more young people.

Kevin Mounce, manager of Dorset Nightstop told Wessex FM:

'The service is so important because a lot of the young people we take in would otherwise be on the streets.

'Often it’s their first time out of the family home and they have no idea what is going to happen to them.

'At the moment we are looking for people to fundraise for the service, to organise and carry out some events for the project'

Trained volunteers open up their homes to provide shelter, food and support for the youngsters.

To volunteer as a fundraiser or a host visit www.actionforchildren.org.uk.

Alternatively, you can contact Kevin at Dorset Nightstop on 01305 753657.
