8:03am 1st March 2014

Every female is being celebrated in Dorchester today.

It's Dorset's Women's Day and a special event is being held at the Corn Exchange.

It's being put on by the Women's Action Network.

Susan Bickle, Chair of WAND told Wessex FM:

"This is going to be another fantastic day. Both our amazing patrons will be attending: Harriet Walters actor and writer and Tracey West, author broadcaster and poet. So come along and join us!"

There'll be a range of stallholders promoting everything relating to womanhood as well as a range of different workshops including scrapbooking, pottery and cookery.

This year's event will again feature the 'rummage room'- an opportunity to donate unwanted items of clothes and pick up something new instead.

There'll also be a special pamper room  this year with crèche facilities for the kids.

All proceeds from the day will top to WAND to support other events.

The event is being held at the Dorford Centre, Dorchester from 10am- 3.30pm. Admission is free.
