Wheelchair "Hope" for Disabled Children in Dorset

Wessex iPhone App

7:45am 3rd March 2014

A Weymouth group of women are trying to bring a powered wheelchair for toddlers to Dorset.

The Inner Wheel Club want to raise £5,000 to get a 'Wizzybug' on loan to under fives in the county who cannot walk.

Wizzybugs are designed to be fun and easy for children aged under five to operate, allowing disabled children to get around on their own.

President of The Inner Wheel Club of Weymouth Maragret Homan-Berry says today and tomorrow (4th & 5th of March) they'll have one of the colourful Wizzybugs in Weymouth on display, "Both days we're going to meet in the foyer outside Sainsburys and we can show people how it works and let them touch it, and we hope people feel generous and give a contribution to it."
