New Appointment at Dorset Police to Help Older People in Dorset

Dorset Police Car

7:23am 5th March 2014
(Updated 12:12pm 5th March 2014)

Older people in Weymouth now have someone to talk to if they don't want to go directly to the Police with any concerns they may have.

Ken Whatley has been appointed as the Police and Crime Commissioner's advocate for the Park District.

He says he'll be acting as Martyn Underhill's eyes and ears.

Ken will be going along to any meetings for older people and any residential homes or flats to find out what people's concerns are.

He says they'll be dealt with in the strictest of confidence.
