Framed 10 Shilling Note Stolen in Weymouth Theft

Thieves have stolen two historically valuable items from a home in Weymouth.

Thieves have stolen two historically valuable items from a home in Weymouth.

They were taken the Saturday before last from an address on Barrack Road (Saturday 22nd March) in the town.

Raiders managed to break-in through the front door and escaped with watches and some jewellery.

But two distinctive items were with special significance were taken from the Weymouth home too.

A 10 shilling note in a picture frame and a Royal Navy Sweetheart brooch.

The victim has been left distressed by the ordeal and Dorset Police are asking us to be on the lookout for anyone selling the goods on the cheap.
