Flood Protection Advice Offered In Dorchester

Flooding Charminster 2

8:50am 11th April 2014

Efforts are continuing to better prepare Dorset from future flooding after the storms.

Flood risk managers are hosting a drop-in session for people in Dorchester next Tuesday (15th April).

Local residents are being encouraged to share their storm stories that will help shape future flood resilience plans.

Information about the Government's flood support schemes will be available together with advice on preparations that householders can do to reduce the effect of future flooding.

The drop-in is taking place in the District Council Offices, South Walk's House between 2.30pm and 7.30pm.

The community flood advice session is being organised by Dorset County Council in partnership with the Environment Agency and West Dorset District Council.
