Portland Distraction Burglary Attempt

A man's forced his way into the home of a woman on Portland and demanded money.
Police say it happened around 10.20pm on Sunday the 13th April in Fortuneswell.
He broke a window in a door to get in and asked the 70 year old for cash - when she refused he left empty handed and ran off towards Spring Gardens.
Police Constable Adam Bayliss, of Weymouth police, said: "I am interested in speaking with anyone who may have seen one or more men running in the direction of Spring Gardens at the time.
"Someone may have seen some suspicious activity - I urge them to come forward. Anyone with information should contact the police on 101.
"All calls will be treated with the strictest confidence."
The offender is described as a white man wearing a nylon type hooded tracksuit and a black scarf. He spoke with a north west accent.
