A paraglider's been rescued after getting stuck 100 meters below a cliff top at Ringstead near Weymouth.

The man, who wasn't injured, was in a vulnerable position and wasn't able to get himself to safety.

Two crews from Dorset Fire and Rescue were called at around 12.30pm this lunchtime, together with two technical rope rescue crews from Weymouth and Poole.

They were joined by the Ambulance, Police and the Coastguard Rope Rescue Team.

The Fire Service Rope Rescue Team worked with the coastguard to get the man to safety.

He was then checked over by paramedics.
