Warning Over Travelling Conman in Dorset
7:42am 26th June 2014
There's a warning going out to B&B's about a conman that's targeting Weymouth.
A man who was staying at a campsite at Osmington Mills has made off without paying his bill.
He left on Tuesday (24th June)
He has been described as white, aged in his sixties, about six feet tall and of big build. He was wearing glasses, has grey hair and a tattoo on his left forearm with the name Lynn on it.
Police Sergeant Rachel Goodwin, of Dorchester police, said: "On his arrival the man stated that he is from the East end of London and he did not have enough money to pay straight away.
"He was allowed to stay at the location but then failed to pay the outstanding amount before he left.
"I believe that this man specifically targets Bed and Breakfast establishments and I would like to make local proprietors aware of this incident.
"I urge anyone who has information about the current whereabouts of this man to contact Dorset Police as soon as possible."
