Armed Forces Honoured In Dorchester
9:06am 5th July 2014
Past and present members of Britain's Armed Forces will be honoured today in Dorchester.
We're being urged to line the streets of the county town for a parade of veterans and service personnel later.
An Armed Forces Day Civic Service is being held in Borough Gardens.
Ken Knight is Chairman of the organising committee - and says there's even more planned for the day.
"We'll have a presentation of veterans lapel badges, and then at 2.30pm we'll have music by the Wessex Military Band followed by the Dorchester Big Band."
"We are hoping to have some cadet forces in attendance as well. As they are the future of the armed forces."
