Prison Parking Opened Up in Dorchester

Dorchester Prison

8:39am 10th July 2014

40 new car park spaces are being freed up in Dorchester.

Dorchester BID has got the go ahead from the Ministry of Justice to use the car park at what was Dorchester Prison.

Business permits will be available to people who work in town from 8.30am in the morning until to 6pm at night.

Local residents who live near the prison will be able to apply for free overnight permits, from 6pm - 8.30am.

They'll be handed out on a first come first served basis.

The scheme will end when the prison complex is sold to new owners.

Anyone interested in buying a business permit or finding out more about the FREE residents permits can email Dorchester BID at info@dorchesterdorset.co.uk.
