Running Up That Hill!
12:08am 13th July 2014
Some of Bridport's finest will be chasing each other up the second highest hill on the South Coast of England today!
It's Bridport Jurassic Coast Run, which attracted over 100 people last year, and is ready for even more this time round (Sunday, 13th July).
The day is organised by Bridport Leisure Centre, Brit Valley Rotary Club and Bridport Runners.
There's a 10K, a 5K and a new 1 mile race for under 12's, with a portion of the money raised going to local sports charities for youths.
The 10K tackles Thorncombe Beacon, the second highest hill on the South Coast of England, and last year's male winner, Bridport Runners' own Ben Renshaw, completed the course in 49:21 minutes, with fastest woman being Hertha van Schack in 60:33.
The races will start at 10.30am, with registration from 9am.
