Reading Group Offers FREE Help To Adults In Dorchester

Read Easy

8:36am 16th July 2014

If you live in Dorchester and struggle with your reading, you're being encouraged to take advantage of a FREE help service.

Read Easy are looking for more people to offer life changing one to one coaching to.

Carole Jardine is one of the co-ordinators.  She says people are often missing out on the simple things we take forgranted.

"It obviously creates limits on maybe getting jobs. Or just reading the instructions on a tin."

Carole finds a coach that is a suitable match to the person's needs.  They'll meet with you for half an hour, twice a week.

Moira Pinder is Chair of Dorchester Read Easy - she says it can have life changing results.

"One of my readers had almost become a bit of a hermit.  She didn't want to go out or do anything.  Once she learnt to read it changed her life.  Just going to the supermarket - she couldn't buy value brands because she could only buy products with pictures on the tins."

Read Easy is open to people in Dorchester aged 18 and over.
