30 Minute FREE Parking Gone At Weymouth Pavilion

Weymouth Pavilion

12:31pm 22nd July 2014

More free parking has been lost in Weymouth.

Drivers will no longer be able to leave their cars outside the Pavilion for 30 minutes during the day - they'll now be charged.

The council have made 5 new spaces on the other side of the forecourt free for 20 minutes.

The Pavilion's General Manager Phil say says he can see the pros and cons;

"Obviously it's not ideal during the day time because it reduces the free parking in town.  But with every swing is a roundabout.  After 6pm it becomes free parking.  It's a pain during the day perhaps but during the evening it's a benefit."

"The council have given 5 spaces on the other side of that bit of forecourt so people can come into the Pavilion to buy tickets or enquire about a show or come in for a meeting. So there are five spaces the council have given us as a concession."
