Crossways Says NO To Slurry Lagoon

9:17am 1st August 2014

Plans for a slurry lagoon in Crossways have been unanimously rejected.

Parish councillors voted following a meeting packed with villagers concerned at possible smells if the facility's built at Summer Farm on Warmwell Road.

West Dorset council will have the final say.

With around 130 objections sent in to them, Parish council chairman Andrew Brewer is hoping the decision won't be made under delegated powers by a planning officer, but by the planning committee, which would allow residents to make further submissions and for the applicant to answer questions from the committee.

Details of the planning application can be seen by gping to and following the links to planing applications for Crossways
