Police Appeal for Witnesses After Assault in Weymouth

Police are appealing for information following an assault in Weymouth.

The incident happened last Saturday (2nd August) at around 1:20am. A 25-year-old man from the town was assaulted by two men along St. Thomas Street, near the Crown Hotel, and was taken to Dorset County Hospital where he required stitches to his head.

Detective Constable Sarah Desmond, of Weymouth CID, said: “The offenders may have driven away in a light coloured BMW with tinted windows.

“They have been described as of Asian appearance, between 18 and 20 years of age and around five feet six inches tall. They both have dark hair and one of the men is of skinny build and was wearing a dark grey hooded top and dark trousers."
