Criminal Damage to Fishing Boat in Weymouth

Officers want to speak to anyone who may have seen suspicious activity at a Weymouth Harbour, after a boat was found with holes drilled in it.
The damage is said to have been made between 8:30pm on Sunday 3rd August and 7:50am on Monday 4th August, while the boat was moored in the harbour opposite the multi-storey car park on Commercial Road.
Two holes were found under the engine, with interference also made with the fuel cap.
Police Constable Stan Knight, of Weymouth Police, said: "This is an unusual crime and the damage made to the boat was very dangerous and could have caused serious injury to anyone who sailed in her.
"All calls will be treated with the strictest confidence."
