Broadwindsor Stars in 'Happy' Video

Villagers in Broadwindsor are now stars of YouTube after making a video showing how happy the village is!

The film - with the Pharell Williams track in the background - features children from the primary school, vicar Jo Neary,  farmers Tim and Andrew Frampton and many more locals.

Broadwindsor Jubilee Group joint secretary Margery Hookings, who filmed the video with help from fellow member Donna Heys, said: “We know lots of big places have done it – you just have to google it and there are videos from all over the world – and we thought we ought to get in on the act.

“It stemmed from a bit of a joke between Donna and me and then we thought, yes, why not? Broadwindsor’s as happy and lively as anywhere and we love it.

“It wasn’t difficult to persuade people to be in it – this is a village that is always happy to get involved in community activities.

“Although I have to admit preparing for some of the shots was a bit like herding cats”
