Weymouth Man To Walk The Thames Path For Children's Hospital
8:44am 11th September 2014
A Weymouth man is ready for a tough weekend of walking, to raise money for a good cause.
Iain Rowsell from Littlemoor is attempting to walk 100 kilometres along the Thames Path, from Putney Bridge to Henley in under 24 hours to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital in London.
He's making the trek in tribute to his late niece Lucy, who was treated for a rare disease at GOSH prior to her death.
In 2010, Iain was able to raise almost £2,500 for the hospital after trekking the Great Wall of China.
