School Meals Going Down Well In West Dorset

While the main county council school meals provider has admitted some 'teething troubles' with delivery, particularly in East Dorset, dinners from a small provider serving some schools in West Dorset, appear to be going down well.
Local Food Links, a firm which supplies around 30 schools, covering Bridport, Lyme Regis and two in Dorchester, as well across North Dorset, is expanding to cope with demand.
They're not connected with Chartwells, which were awarded the main county council contract, and suffered some quality issues earlier this month in East Dorset.
Local Food Links Chief Executive Caroline Morgan says they had to invest in new equipment and personnel, and its a good job they did. One of their schools now orders 100 meals instead of 25 when they took over
