Dorset's Police and Crime Commissioner has praised the work of drug and alcohol services in Weymouth.

Martyn Underhill met the staff and volunteers at CADAS on Melcome Avenue and the EDP team on Belle Vue Road.

Martyn Underhill said: "I am delighted to see these services up and running. The outcomes that CADAS and EDP are delivering are important for people in Weymouth. I thank them for the inspirational work they do in offering people in difficulty the prospect of hope, recovery and a bright future. These inspirational projects are assisting people in their recovery journey and are helping them to move forward."

His visit was part of a rolling programme of community days across Dorset where residents can talk to the PCC about his role.

The day ended with a public meeting, where the main issues of concern raised where speeding, car crime and street drinking.
