Youngsters Learn To Surf

Young people in Dorset with mental health difficulties are being given the chance to learn to surf as part of The Wave Project.

After it's successful pilot, the project is looks to help improve the lives of children who suffer from mental or emotional issues through outdoor activities.

By working with professional surfing instructors and volunteers from the local community The Wave Project says it helps people develop social skills and improve their physical health.

It also aims to boast their self-cofidence and make new friends.

After the six week course, those taking part will be able to join and help run the surf club.
