(Updated 1:47pm 1st October 2014)

8:33am 1st October 2014

Dorset is celebrating International Older People's day with the launch of a new care and support website.

www.mylifemycare.com is aimed at helping people lead independent lives and features advice on everything from help around the home to dealing with money worries.

There's also tips and advice on health and well-being, information about transport, home adaption, daily living aids and much more to help people make informed choice about their care.

The website was developed by Dorset County Council in partnership with the Borough of Poole and Bournemouth Borough Council and is for all adults in Dorset, whether they qualify for financial support or pay for their own care.

You can find out more by going along to Dorchester, Bridport or Wyke Regis library this morning.
