Dog Survives 100ft Cliff Fall

A dog has survived a 100 ft fall over a Dorset cliff.

Molly the 10 month old Norfolk Terrier plunged over the side of Old Harry Rocks at the weekend.

The coastguard team were getting ready to send a rescuer down on a rope to try and find her.

But she was found safe and well by a lifeboat crewman at the bottom the cliff on the beach.

Thankfully, Molly seemed fine and none the worse for wear, after her dramatic 100ft drop and afternoon dip in the sea below, she had swam through the cave to get to the beach where Pete had found her.

The throng that had gathered above on the cliff cheered, when the good news was transmitted that Molly was safe. The lifeboat crew took, Molly ashore at South Beach where she was reunited with her overjoyed owner.

Volunteer helmsman Ed Davies said;

‘It was miraculous, how the dog was safe and sound after her adventure, considering her 100ft fall and swim’.
