UN Flag To Be Raised In Weymouth

People in Weymouth are being invited to a service this morning to recognise the work of the UN.

It’s United Nations Day, and the UN flag will be raised at Radipole Gardens.

The service will be led by the Mayor of Weymouth and Portland Councillor Kate Wheller.

The Major told Wessex FM; "I am pleased to have the opportunity to host this important civic service to recognise United Nations Day and acknowledge the outstanding work carried out by the UN throughout the world."

The service is starting at 10:30am.
