Record Visitors To Monkey World Causes Long Delays On The A31

Monkey World Baby Chimp

1:03pm 31st October 2014

There’ve been long tail backs on the A31 today as thousands of people queued to get into Monkey World in Wareham.

As heard on Wessex FM, the animal rescue park were giving free entry to adults and children dressed in Halloween costumes.

But the good weather and the half term holidays meant the car park quickly filled to capacity and some people had to be turned away.

Sarah Lambert from Monkey World told Wessex FM; “We run this offer every Halloween so we expected to be busy, but this is unprecedented. We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused anyone caught up in traffic delays. It’s been a great atmosphere at the park today.”
