Officers in Weymouth are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward following a spate of criminal damage in the area.

The incidents happened overnight on Friday 24 October 2014 when a number of door locks were glued in the town centre and Westham areas of Weymouth. Some of the victims only discovered the damage the following morning.

Four addresses were targeted along Stavourdale Road, Great George Street and St Thomas Street. Police believe the incidents are linked.

Police Constable Rich Shirley, of Weymouth Safer Neighbourhood Team said: "This mindless damage has caused great inconvenience to the owners who have had to change their locks as a result.

"I am appealing for anyone who witnessed what happened or may have seen suspicious activity in the area at the time of the incidents to come forward.

"All calls will be treated with the strictest confidence."

Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101 quoting incident 31:182. Alternatively, call the free and anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111 where mobile phone tariffs may apply.
