Police Try To Trace Cyclist After Fail To Stop In Bridport

Police in Bridport are trying to trace a cyclist who collided with a car in the town on Wednesday (12th November).

It happened just after 8am.

A red Ford KA was waiting at the give way line in Alexandra Road to turn left when a cyclist travelling down Skilling Hill Road lost control and collided with the KA.

The cyclist, described as a man aged between 50 and 60, came off his bicycle. He got up, declined medical treatment and cycled off leaving no details.

He was riding a bright green mountain bike and was wearing a black leather jacket.

Police Constable Sara Mackay, of Bridport police, said: "I believe the cyclist suffered a bump to his head following the collision and I urge him to please call me on 101.

"I would also like to hear from anyone who witnessed this incident to get in contact with me."

Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101 quoting incident number 12:90. Alternatively, call the free and anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111 where mobile phone tariffs may apply.
