UPDATED - Three Men Arrested After Stabbing In Weymouth

There's been an alleged serious assault in Weymouth – with three men being arrested.

Police were called at 2.34am on Wednesday 19 November 2014 to Dorchester Road following an incident in which a 29-year-old local man sustained what appear to be stab wounds.

He was taken to Dorset County Hospital for treatment. His condition is thought to be serious but not life threatening.

A second man, aged 30 and from Weymouth, was taken to Poole Hospital for treatment for a swollen eye and jaw.

Detective Constable Lucy Cummings, of Weymouth CID, said: “I am appealing for anyone who saw or heard anything in the area of Dorchester Road in the early hours of Wednesday 19 November 2014 to contact me.

“All calls will be treated in strict confidence.”

Three men – aged 28, 29 and 30 and all from Weymouth – have been arrested and are currently assisting police with their enquiries.
