The Colliton Club in Dorchester will find out tonight if its won two national awards.

The venue which is no longer financially supported by the County Council is up for Club Mirror King of Clubs and Manager of the Year.

Neil Gatehouse first came to the Club in 1985 and became Manager in 1992. On receiving the nominations he said; "In the difficult times that our industry is facing, our team is working hard to adapt to our new circumstances. I am very proud of what we have achieved so far and hope we will have a successful future."

Club Mirror magazine, owner and organiser of the awards, has been an integral part of the club industry for over 46 years.

The Awards are now in their 22nd year. From just under 1000 entries, finalists have been singled out for excellence across 26 categories. Colliton Club was applauded for seeking independent status and not giving up when the Council had to cut their budget and could no longer financially support the club.
